Developing the Talent Vermont Needs to Grow
The Lake Champlain Chamber develops the talent our region needs to grow while helping our members recruit and retain great employees. Through well-regarded programs like Leadership Champlain and Burlington Young Professionals – and through direct collaboration with regional employers and partners – we ensure that Northwest Vermont continues to be home to a talented, dynamic workforce sought after by growing businesses.

Burlington Young Professionals
Established in 2010 by the Lake Champlain Chamber, Burlington Young Professionals (BYP) aims to attract and retain young professional talent in Northwest Vermont. We empower the next generation of leaders by providing the space to connect with peers and leaders, access professional resources and build a long-term future here.
Leadership Champlain
Leadership Champlain is a professional development and community engagement program of the Lake Champlain Chamber. Its mission is to foster growth and leadership in professionals who will serve our community now and in the future. The program consists of retreats, full-day seminars, service projects, discussion groups and community tours. Participants meet monthly to explore critical community issues, examine themselves as leaders and build relationships of trust and understanding.
Talent Attraction and Retention
GROW is focused on ensuring that our region’s employers have the talent they need to grow and our region’s quality of life remains high. We work with partners in Northwest Vermont to maintain a holistic talent attraction strategy, partner with higher education institutions on student post-grad retention and provide retention and relocation resources to new and potential residents.
