Reckless Ideas: Through The Clouds With Beth White!
April 8 @ 6:00 am - 8:00 pm
FreeVisit Generator on Tuesday, April 8th to hear the story behind Habitat For Aviation as told by its founder Beth White!
We will hear about Beth’s remarkable journey into aviation, sparked by the daring thought: “If Beryl Markham could fly solo across the Atlantic in the 1930s, why can’t I?” We will hear how earning her pilot’s license, meeting an unexpected 80-year old airplane mechanic, and surviving breast cancer led to a renewed life purpose: Fostering the next generation of aviators, builders, and innovators by providing hands-on opportunities in aviation.
Habitat for Aviation is an apprenticeship program at Franklin County State Airport that offers youth and adults the opportunity to learn and work alongside industry professionals in aviation. Their Women Build Planes program is an all-female, intergenerational team working together to build a Rans S-21 airplane! Beth will be joined by some of her fabulous Women Build Planes team members—the Modern Rosies.
This Reckless Idea will leave folks feeling inspired and ready to take-off and chase your own bold initiatives!
