Burlington, Vt. (October 6, 2025) – The Lake Champlain Chamber’s Director of Workforce & Education, Alex Bunten, has been selected by the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE) for its 2025-2026 Fellowship for Talent Development.
Bunten is one of twenty individuals from all over the United States – and the only one from Vermont – participating in the Fellowship, which aims to help chamber professionals understand their local talent development ecosystem and how they can strengthen the talent pipeline.
“Many of the workforce challenges we face in Vermont aren’t unique, but the ways we solve them must be,” said Bunten. “This Fellowship is a fantastic opportunity to bring fresh ideas from across the country back home – finding ways to strengthen our local workforce and help our communities thrive.”
During the Fellowship, Bunten will create an action plan that addresses a talent challenge in Northwest Vermont. The impact of the plan will be measured through both qualitative and quantitative indicators under the guidance of the ACCE foundation, and by the end of the program, he will be better positioned to support the development of our region’s workforce.
“Alex’s participation in this Fellowship reflects the Chamber’s ongoing commitment to cultivating community leadership and nurturing Vermont’s emerging talent,” said Lake Champlain Chamber President and CEO Cathy Davis. “The insights he gains will help us create even stronger opportunities for workforce development across the region.”
