Lake Champlain Chamber Announces Two New Hires

November 21, 2022 –  The Lake Champlain Chamber announced two recent staff changes that further our mission of providing economic opportunity for all Vermonters.

Hannah King has been hired as the Director of Communications and Business Development at the Chamber. Prior to joining the Lake Champlain Chamber, King worked for the ECHO Leahy Center, and the Vermont Chamber of Commerce. Most recently, she served as the Finance Director on Becca Balint’s successful bid for Congress.

King studied at the University of Vermont and lives in Burlington, where she serves on the Ward 8 Neighborhood Planning Assembly Steering Committee and the City of Burlington’s Community Development Block Grant Advisory Board.

Tom Remp has joined as the Social Media and Content Manager of Hello Burlington. A division of the Lake Champlain Chamber, Hello Burlington is the destination marketing initiative for Greater Burlington, promoting the region as a great destination for leisure travel, business conferences, and citywide events. Originally from Scotland, Tom has lived in Vermont for almost ten years. During this time, he served as Communications Manager for Billings Farm & Museum in Woodstock, and Library Communications Manager at Dartmouth College.

A keen photographer, he previously worked documenting social, environmental, and post-conflict issues in Guatemala, El Salvador, and Honduras. This experience led him to spend 10 days on the Polish border during the opening weeks of the Ukraine war, photographing the crisis and distributing images to NGOs, including the UN and UNICEF.

Remp holds an MFA from Fairfield University and lives in Randolph with his fiance Cille and service dog Ivy.
