112th Annual Dinner
The Lake Champlain Chamber celebrated its 112th Annual Dinner on Thursday, April 13 with more than 300 attendees at the DoubleTree by Hilton.
The Community Impact award was presented to Vermont Adaptive.
Our winner is a nationally recognized organization that empowers people of all abilities through inclusive sports and recreational programming regardless of ability to pay. In addition to sports, year-round programming options integrate environmental, holistic wellness, and competitive training philosophies for people of all ages with cognitive, developmental, physical and emotional disabilities. In 2022, they had a record setting program year logging over 4600 individual adaptive outings in Vermont, a 500% growth over the past 9 years, serving those with disabilities. The outings spanned the state and included Alpine Skiing, Snowboarding, Indoor Climbing, Ice Climbing, Skateboarding, Mountain Biking, Paddling, Sailing, Biking, Swimming and Equine.
