112th Annual Dinner
The Lake Champlain Chamber celebrated its 112th Annual Dinner on Thursday, April 13 with more than 300 attendees at the DoubleTree by Hilton.
The A. Wayne Roberts Business Award was presented to Little Patakha.
The award honors a new business that demonstrates growth, job creation and ingenuity. Preference is given to businesses that have been accelerated by LaunchVT and because we love to celebrate businesses, businesses are encouraged to self-nominate.
Little Patakha was created to spark curiosity in young minds by introducing them to diverse ideas, sounds, and people they normally wouldn’t come across so that they can see how differences make us more vibrant and innovative while boosting self-confidence and acceptance of others. A children’s brand that offers books, games and toys to spark curiosity, celebrate differencesand shatter stereotypes through diverse representation, their comprehensive portfolio of products offers different media for different stages of development from birth to five years of age. A member of LaunchVT’s 2022 cohort, the founder gained insight during the course of the accelerator to help pivot the business, present the new iteration of the business, and see the amazing opportunities available to scale up. In the last year, we have launched two new products based on our new brand experience, completed a second successful Kickstarter campaign, partnered with independent retailers in VT to sell our products, received a grant to distribute products to rural schools, libraries and day cares in VT and had multiple conferences where we garnered continued interest after pitching to mass retailers.
The company’s name means firecracker in Hindi, and the founder uses the word to describe children since they are full of potential and just need a spark of encouragement.
