DESCRIPTION:We invite you to learn about the new Mental Health Urgent Care (MHUC) which will open October 28 at 1 South Prospect St.\, Burlington. As a therapeutic alternative to visiting the emergency department\, the clinic will offer mental health support services\, peer support\, and medical care in a trauma-informed\, suicide-safe setting for adults experiencing a mental health crisis. The initiative is a partnership among Howard Center\, the University of Vermont Medical Center\, Community Health Centers\, Pathways Vermont\, and the Vermont Department of Mental Health. \nJoin us on September 10 for a public town hall presentation by MHUC project managers Cathie Buscaglia and Charlotte McCorkel (Howard Center) and Maureen Leahy and Karen Vastine (University of Vermont Medical Center).
