We can always use more summer here in Vermont\, so jump into a fabulous setting at the Burlington Surf Club\, and enjoy the club amenities\, delicious local food vendors\, lawn games\, a bounce house\, a yoga class on the pavilion\, groove to the beats of our talented DJ\, and cheer on our beach volleyball competitors! Oh and enjoy a beverage (or two\, or three!) from Zero Gravity. \n​Love to play volleyball? Or just wanna have some fun with friends all while raising money for SHCC? Sign your team up for limited spots! \n​Have fun while making a difference! There’s something for everyone! \nA Community Gathering: Join us for a fun & memorable community event celebrating a forever inspiration\, Addi “15A1” Carroll. This is a great opportunity to come together\, celebrate her life and support important causes. Whether you participate in the race\, cheer others on or simply enjoy the festivities\, it’s a chance to be part of something special. \nRaise awareness and funds: Hosted as a fundraiser for Big Beautiful Life\, a non-profit which brings comfort\, joy\, community & resources to children in chronic medical crisis. We will also feature other non-profit organizations which help families thrive\, including our featured partner — Essex Fire Department. \nActivities for Everyone: \nSpectators (free admission): Honoring Addi\, 15A1\, Addi’s Engine will start the race! Explore the Emergency Services Touch-A-Truck to investigate emergency vehicles and meet the heroes who keep our community safe. Visit the Non-Profit and Sponsor Tents to learn about non-profit organizations and local businesses. Enjoy lighthearted entertainment for the whole family including Wild Bill of WOKO as master of ceremonies and a Mascot Dance Party. \nParticipate (in person or virtually) in a 1.2k or 5k fun run\, walk or roll for a good cause: children in medical crisis. Our 5k Cross country style course is professionally chip-timed and pending USATF course certification. The 1.2k is a flat asphalt course for those on wheels or who have difficulty with distances or grade changes.
