SUMMARY:30th annual COTS Walk
DESCRIPTION:The annual COTS Walk is a 3.5-mile trek (a shorter 1-mile route is available) around downtown Burlington that starts from Battery Park and follows the path a person experiencing homelessness might travel to connect with COTS shelter and services. This is the one day of the year COTS opens our program spaces to the community so people can see how their support makes a difference. \nCheck-in begins at 1 p.m.\, and the Walk kicks off at 2 p.m. Walkers head down the Church Street Marketplace\, up Main Street and into surrounding neighborhoods. Along the way\, walkers are invited inside of COTSâ€™ numerous buildings. \nThe Walk takes about 1-2 hours to complete\, ending back at Battery Park where walkers are met with music and Ben & Jerryâ€™s.

SUMMARY:9th Annual Vermont Adaptive Charity Ride
DESCRIPTION:The Vermont Adaptive Charity Ride presented by Long Trail Brewing (formerly known as the Long Trail Century Ride) is an event established through a partnership of Vermont Adaptive Ski and Sports and title sponsor Long Trail Brewery in Bridgewater Corners\, plus Killington Resort\, the Lookout Tavern\, and many local businesses in the Killington region. The goal of the annual event is to enjoy the beauty of Vermont through cycling all while raising funds for the stateâ€™s largest nonprofit organization committed to providing sports and recreation to people with disabilities. \nWhether cycling on the 100-mile\, 60-mile or 40-mile loops\, or simply journeying near the Brewery on the 20-mile loop or the family-friendly 5K bike ride\, there is something for everyone to enjoy during the Vermont Adaptive Charity Ride. All courses start and finish at Long Trail Brewery\, located on Route 4. The festivities continue for all after the ride at the brewery\, where a BBQ menu will be prepared\, live music and family entertainment\, refreshments\, and more will make this an event not to be missed. \nEvent Cost: Registration\, $70 with $125 minimum fundraising requirement. Adaptive riders are free. Junior riders\, ages 16 and under\, $50 and fundraising encouraged. 5k entry fee is $15. Killington Mountain Bike Park pass holder fee is $40 plus $125 minimum fundraising.
