Lake Champlain Chamber Announces New Team Members
BURLINGTON, Vt. (November 4, 2026) – The Lake Champlain Chamber has announced the addition of two new team members who will help further the Chamber’s mission of providing economic opportunity for all Vermonters.
Rebecca Ford (formerly Doser) has joined the Chamber as Director of Strategic Communications & Public Relations, where she will lead integrated communications strategy for the Chamber and its tourism division, Hello Burlington. Ford brings more than a decade of experience in strategic communications, public relations, and destination marketing, having led award-winning campaigns for destinations and brands across the country.
"After years of telling the stories of the communities and cultures that bring destinations to life, there's something really meaningful about getting to champion the place I now call home,” said Ford. “I'm thrilled to join such a talented team and help shine an even brighter spotlight on the people, businesses, and experiences that make the greater Burlington region an incredible place to live, work and visit - the very things that drew me here a year and a half ago."
Most recently, Ford led PR strategy at Karsh Hagan Madden, overseeing communications for dozens of tourism and hospitality clients. Previously, she served as Director of Communications for Visit Alexandria and held media relations roles at Destination DC and global PR agency Ketchum.
The Chamber has hired Matt Crawford as Downtown Advocacy Manager, a new role supporting the recently launched Downtown Business Alliance. Born and raised in Vermont, he has a long career in communications and public relations. He honed his skills in local government as a select board member and has advocated for businesses at the state and federal levels.
"Working closely with business owners to achieve their goals and celebrate their successes is one of the highlights of my professional career," said Crawford. "I'm looking forward to collaborating with Burlington businesses as we build the Downtown Business Alliance, deliver on its mission, and work to restore confidence in downtown Burlington as a premier destination."
A St. Albans native and graduate of the University of Colorado, Crawford and his wife are active members of the Winooski community. He enjoys fishing, live music, pickleball, and family time with his three adult children.
“Our mission has always been centered on championing local enterprise and building a resilient, connected regional economy,” said Cathy Davis, president and CEO of the Lake Champlain Chamber. “By welcoming Rebecca and Matt into these newly created positions, we are expanding our ability to show up for our members and community as a whole in tangible, innovative ways. Each brings a unique skill set that will deepen our impact, and I look forward to seeing all they will accomplish here at LCC.”
